Ganku developed his own style of painting, now called the Kishi school. He had previously studied the Kanō painting style plus the painting styles of Shen Nanp’in and maruyama-shijō artists. The Kishi painting style most closely ressembles the latter. Eleven of Ganku’s flower and (or) bird paintings are included in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
